Abstract: We highlight a partnership between the Department of Computer Science (CSC) at NC State University and the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI) based at UNC Chapel Hill that has resulted in the building and implementing of technology-enhanced visualization and collaboration facilities on the NC State University Centennial Campus. The RENCI/NCSU Engagement Facilities foster creativity, visualization prototyping, and peer-to-peer learning among multi-disciplinary research teams through a combination of technology, faculty focused research, staff expertise, and supporting services and facilities. This presentation will also describe recent collaborations with NCSU's Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) in the applied arena of transportation visualization.
