Abstract: To see what is likely to matter 6-24 months from now, visualization-based information analysis methods and tools driven by textual information are needed to overcome severe limitations that exist for data-driven analysis methods and tools that rely on historical and current numeric information.

  • Statistical norms and cycles fail as adequate indicators as trends and paradigms shift or change and new technologies become relevant.
  • Uncertainty in statistical projections grow too large much beyond 60-90 days and render such projections un-useful.
  • Increasingly, significant and relevant leading indicators are most likely to be found in textual documents, published announcements and published reports rather than in performance data.

This paper will review an evolving visualization-based information analysis method, technology and tool that appears to provide needed capabilities for use in commercial, financial, industrial, and governmental sectors – and more. Current capabilities are geared for concurrent analysis of up to 10 (exponential 4) documents.
